Scoil Iosa, Carracastle

On 27th February first and second classes participated in the Féile Dramaíochta in Kilmovee with their play 'Plúirín Sneachta'. They had great success winning the prize for the overall drama and progressing to the Connacht level of participation in Spiddal. In Kilmovee the best actress went to Maja Labusinska, and the best actor to Cian Reddington. To our delight they came first in their category in Spiddal, and went on to participate in The All Ireland Final of The Féile Dramaíochta in Mullingar on 17th April. They performed very well on the day but did not win on this occasion, but deserve great praise as this was the schools first time to get to this level. Well done to their teacher Mrs Maloney, and Billy Murphy who volunteered to help with the production. It was a huge team effort and thanks to everyone who helped out with sets, costumes, music, make-up,and setting up on each day.
